Scotland is very pro labour party.  There are a lot of socialist there too.

When my Wife and I visted Scotland in 1995. Ilearned later that my relitives there thought I had come for the Fraser Clan gathering. They also thought that when we went to Iona (a truely magical island) that we were visiting John Smiths grave. He was a prominant Labour Party leader who died suddenly age 55 in 1994. It was beleived he was to be the next PM.  Instead we got Blair.  Anyhow that’s an example of cultures mistaking intentions.  I wonder how often that happens in the Middle East?
