Judi Bari was active at the University of Maryland during the early 1970's.

She was also a union organizer and worked on the Washington Area Spark underground newspaper. After moving to Northern California, she became a leader of the Save the Redwoods movement. In 1990 she was seriously injured when someone planted a bomb under the driver's seat of her car. She died in 1997 of breast cancer.You may read more about Judi at www.judibari.org
